Marriage Week in Roswell GA
Governor Perdue declared a state-wide Marriage Week in Georgia Proclamation in 2010. The purpose of Marriage Week is to celebrate healthy marriages and to educate our communities on the many benefits of marriage. Marriage Week is now celebrated in many states throughout the United States and also in other countries.
Roswell Mayor Jere Wood annually declares Marriage Week in Roswell to celebrate you and your spouse. Marriage Week in Roswell is held in conjunction with Our Marriage Matters Network, a Roswell based nonprofit marriage and family initiative to build and strengthen healthy marriages, the bedrock for families and communities.
A healthy marriage avoids divorce and the aftermath of challenges that effect the whole family, including its most vulnerable – the children.
To celebrate Marriage Week in Roswell each year, Our Marriage Matters hosts a complementary event for Married Couples at a local venue in Roswell, Georgia.
Our Marriage Matter’s complimentary event includes:
- A free session providing marriage guidance and how to’s to help married couples protect and preserve their spouses and marriages amidst the series of challenges that families continue to face.
- To help celebrate your “date night”, all session attendees will receive a 25% discount coupon to some of our local restaurants.
Marriage works! It makes people happier, live longer, and builds more economic security. Strong marriages are foundational for a strong family!
